September 16 begins your countdown to 100 days to Christmas. This book is a step-by-step guide to getting things done so you can relax and truly enjoy the wonder and beauty of the holidays. You’ll find links to craft ideas, recipes, and decor ideas. Each day gives you a task/challenge focusing on something to help you prepare for the coming season. I especially like that it doesn’t just focus on Christmas but all the stuff between now and then, such as Halloween, Election Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, Advent, etc. Very early on, it helps you lay out your Christmas budget as well as creating a list of people to buy for. That way, as you are out about about, you can start picking up items and checking people off your list.
100 Days to Christmas is about so much more than the gift buying. Some of my favorites were about decorating your home for fall and for Christmas, the Christmas card idea board, the stocking stuffer ideas, favorite soup/stew recipes, and the Advent Activity Planner.
Even if you don’t do every activity/task listed in the book, doing just a few will definitely put you in the mind-set of planning for Christmas and help you become more organized as the holiday gets closer. At just $4.99 this is a book that should definitely be part of your Christmas planning.
The planner in me can not wait to open up each day and see what I can do to prepare for the upcoming days and weeks of Christmas madness. Some of the items were things I already do, but as I read through it, I loved all the links for new ideas and for the ability to download new lists. I also appreciated how the book also focuses not just on giving within your circle of family and friends, but giving to others in your community who need the joy of Christmas brought to them.
100 Days to Christmas can be downloaded to your computer or to your Kindle/Kindle App, or Nook. Check out http://100daystochristmas.com/ for more information about purchasing the book. Then as each days task is completed, you can interact with other 100 Days to Christmas readers on its FACEBOOK PAGE. I have a feeling there will lots of other awesome ideas shared there. For less than $5, you can have a sense of direction and a sense of peace towards planning for Christmas in your home. It could just be the best $4.99 you ever spent!
