Our kids loved all kind of seek and find books as kids. They were the perfect books to take along on car rides and keep the kids busy. It seemed there was always something new to find on the pages.
Lucas feels like something…or someone is missing from his life. He doesn’t have a best friend, so he sets out to find a best friend. He goes to the beach, to a pet shop, to the circus, and a birthday party, he goes all over the city but everyone seems to already have a friend. Lucas was exhausted after a full day of searching and even if he didn’t find a new best friend, he knows there are lots of opportunities every day to find one.
Each page offers an opportunity to find Lucas on the page as well as a host of other people doing all kinds of things. The author offers ideas of certain people to find, but then readers can come up with their own seek questions to find on the pages.
Each page uses a simple color-scheme with purple as the color that continues throughout the book with a secondary color. The people are all uniquely created yet with simple drawings to not distract from the seeking. You can identify the personalities and happiness or sadness on the face of each person.
The end of the book offers even more ideas for people to find on the pages and even the cover of the book. There are even ideas for creating a game out of finding items on the page.
This is a book that can be looked at over and over again, finding something new on the pages each time.
