I’m already a huge fan of Lindsay Ward. In the last two years, her children’s books THIS BOOK IS GRAY and ROSIE STRONGER THAN STEEL have made my best books list.
Scooper and Dumper are the best of friends. They spend their time together taking care of their town. When a snowstorm hits, they are on duty, but Dumper does most of the big jobs. Scooper stays close to home. But, they are a good team, cleaning up the snow and making the roads safe.
Then a big snowstorm hits and Dumper is gone too long. Scooper tries to rally their other friends to help, but realizes he will have to be brave to get Dumper back safely.
Kids who love trucks or watching the snowplow go by will find this book so much fun. Even kids who don’t live in snowy places will enjoy the friendship and teamwork of Scooper and Dumper. The illustrations are fun and kids will see Scooper and Dumper working hard to clear the snow on the pages. I can’t wait to gift this one to our little great-nephew who loves all things tractors and trucks.
Lindsay Ward is the creator of the Dexter T. Rexter series, as well as Rosie: Stronger than Steel, This Book Is Gray, Brobarians, Rosco vs. the Baby, and The Importance of Being 3. Her book Please Bring Balloons was also made into a play. Lindsay lives with her family in Peninsula, Ohio, where vehicles such as Scooper and Dumper take care of the roads all year-round.
