As families prepare for all the fun of summer camping, this book helps the littlest campers understand the importance of keeping food items locked up and safe.
Bears naturally want to eat, so if you are camping in national parks or in areas where bears are prevalent, you have to be sure to keep human food safe and locked up so the bears choose the bear food they are supposed to eat.
On the left side of the book, a family is camping and eating, and on the right side, the bears and their little ones are finding good bear food to eat like berries, insects, and fish. With rhyming and repetitive text, kids will learn to keep themselves safe and the bears healthy. The illustrations are vibrantly colored and use various and diverse family scenarios. This is definitely age-appropriate for toddlers and will be fun to take along on camping adventures.
Terry Pierce is an accomplished children’s writer with 17 books published, including Mama Loves You So and My Busy Green Garden.
