Spend a year with a new bear cub as he grows and changes with the seasons. The adorable bear cub wants the reader to know all about him and his time in the forest. He shares what he likes to eat, what he likes to do, and who he likes to play with in the forest. As winter arrives, his favorite place, however, is tucked in with his mom.
Not only will kids see the bear cub go about his day, but kids will also learn about opposites including more and less, big and little, above and below, and fast and slow. The bear cub will compare himself to other animals and kids will learn about hedgehogs, moose, elk, and snails to name a few.
The illustrations are gorgeous and show the changing seasons as you turn the pages from the greens of spring and summer to the oranges of fall and the white of winter. As you read this with your toddler, you can also point out how your child is similar and different from the bear cub. Bear cubs play games and climb trees. Bear cubs eat flowers and dig for insects. But, just like every little boy and girl, they want to snuggle up with their mama too.
A CUB STORY is a cute coming-of-age story of a young bear cub and his journey through a year in the forest.
