This lift-the-flap book is so much fun and teaches all kinds of silly goodbye saying that kids will love saying to you when you drop them at daycare or leave them with Grandma.
We all know the usual goodbye sayings like “See you later, Alligator.” and “After a while, Crocodile.” but there are plenty more that kids will love learning.
Each page spread has a goodbye saying with the beginning on one page and the ending of the goodbye under the flap. Your kids will love repeating them and choosing their favorite. Plus once they learn the sayings, they will be able to read the book to themselves and start recognizing words.
I could see gifting this book to grandkids you don’t see very often or if your toddler is struggling with goodbyes at daycare, this might make the goodbye session fun and more tolerable. I’ve purchased several of the Gibbs Smith children’s books to give as gifts and have loved all of them.
