All summer I’ll be sharing books for kids of all ages on topics that will interest them or offer them a new interest to learn about. Most of the time these will be nonfiction books, but sometimes we can learn how to be better people or learn empathy from fictional stories too.

Today is National Donut Day which makes it the perfect day to share this book with you. This fun board book is shaped like a donut, small enough for toddlers to handle, and even has the center cut out just like a donut.
Each page asks kids to figure out the next donut flavor by offering a small hint.
“The next kind is made with a fruit. Can you guess the flavor?”
Kids can look at the donut and guess the flavor. All of us have our favorite donut flavor but of course, the one we want the most is the one made with LOVE and friends to eat them with. My only suggestion is to have some donuts ready for eating when you read this one!
