Your immune system is primarily located in your gut. So when your gut is off, you can find yourself having a lot of other health-related issues. Have you heard of the term, “leaky gut”? L-Glutamine is an amino acid and your body naturally produces it, but if you have a leaky gut, this supplement tightens up your gut wall and creates a “fence” for all the “leaks”.
Are you wondering what an amino acid is? Medline Plus says amino acids are molecules that combine to form proteins. Amino acids and proteins are the building blocks of life. When proteins are digested or broken down, amino acids are left. So, when our gut leaks the extra amino acids, we tend to find we have other issues like bloating, cramps, aches and pains, and even some autoimmune diseases. By building up our gut wall with a supplement like L-Glutamine, we can help support our gut.
For the past month, I’ve been drinking Gut L-Glutamine. Gut L-Glutamine can help with the following symptoms:
Fight leaky gut – Being ‘holy’ is good for the soul…not so much for your gut. Feed your gut lining its favorite fuel, so it can stay strong (intestinal integrity for the win!) †
Support immune system – Although your gut lining loves to feast on L-Glutamine, so do the cells of your immune system †
Think clearer – Banish brain farts and concentrate easier, thanks to a stronger gut barrier, which helps keep cognitive-impairing zombies like toxins and bad bacteria out †
Help your digestion – A stronger GI tract can also support your digestion and make things feel like clockwork…down there
Gut L-Glutamine is tasteless and you wouldn’t notice it was added to your water, coffee, juice, or any other beverage. It is a bit cloudy when you first mix it in, but the cloudiness disappears completely. I have had issues with bloating and other gastrointestinal discomforts as well as making multiple trips to the bathroom throughout the day. Taking Gut L-Glutamine has made a huge difference in how I feel after eating, especially in the morning. It is especially important to start your day with a glass of water, so when I get up, I take the L-Glutamine powder and my other daily vitamin supplements. Then if I am feeling the need, I will take it again in the afternoon. I have noticed a marked reduction in the bloating feeling I tend to get often.
Caution: Pregnant or nursing women, children under 18 years of age, and individuals with a medical condition and/or taking medications, should consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use it if the safety seal is damaged or missing. Do not eat the freshness packet enclosed. Store in a cool, dry place.
