Fiction
Told from the perspective of an origami crane made by and belonging to a young boy, readers will travel through a boy’s life as the crane watches over him. From making a crane and playing with it to the crane being set aside and eventually forgotten to then a young man rekindling his love for the crane as he becomes an adult and starts a new life there is a whole generation of love happening between a boy and his crane.
Whether it is an origami crane or a stuffed animal or blankie or a favorite childhood toy, we all have things that carry us through to adulthood. Watching this young boy grow into a man and start a whole new generation that also loves origami cranes is heartwarming and touching.
I love the imagination in this story and that it is told from the perspective of the crane. The illustrations are beautiful and touching and I think it is a story that kids and parents will love reading together.
