Things I Love…
This is my feature where I get to share something that I just love. Since you are my friends, I like sharing things I love with others. It could be anything from a new product, food, recipe, song, image, to a person and everything in between. This will be something I am completely doing on my own, without pressure or compensation from a company, author, PR/Marketing firm, friend, business owner, etc. This will just be something that makes me happy and I want to share it with you. Today’s love is………………………..Chore Boy Scouring Cloth
Doing the dishes is NOT one of my favorite chores. I jumped for joy when we got out first dishwasher after we were married. I grew up with the job of doing the dishes and my mom always used the same materials to wash the dishes: Dawn dishsoap (I wouldn’t use anything else), Handiwipes and Chore Boy Scouring Cloths. So, you can say, my mom introduced me to the Chore Boy idea. I’ve been on my own for many years and still use the Chore Boy for my dishes as well as other cleaning. They are tough to find at stores though. So, since my mom shops at the local small town grocery store, she has the store owner order a case for me. That way I am sure to always have plenty of them on hand. Yes, I could order them on Amazon, but I love that I can order them direct from the store. They last me forever and are my favorite thing to use when I do the dishes. If your store doesn’t carry them, don’t hesitate to ask the store mananger to get them in stock for you! Each package comes with 2 cloths and they are very reasonable at around $2/box.
Isn’t it funny how things we used growing up, influence our decisions as adults? Are there products that you now use because your mom used it while you were growing up like makeup, soaps, certain brands of food, or cleaners?
