Animals from all kinds of habitats pop-up on the pages. The animals are labeled on the page with a brief paragraph about the animals that live there, the weather, what they eat, and how they all coexist together.
The habitats include:
- The African Savanna
- The Forest
- The Rain Forest
- The Backyard
- The Ocean
- The Desert
- The River
- The Mountains
- The Tropical Seas
Your child will find animals they are familiar with like a dolphin, caterpillar, and squirrel and ones they aren’t like gemsbok, kingfisher, and chamois. You can even have them look for animals that can live in multiple habitats. You can also have conversations about the difference between the tropical seas and the ocean and the species that live there and why.
The colors are vivid and the illustrations are accurate even though they are cartoonlike. Kids will love to learn about the animals while enjoying the pop-up features on the page!

those pop-up books were always a favorite of mine. i have a few that were my parents … almost a century old. torn and tattered, those childhood treats are still treasures.
