Book 4 in the Little Mole series is here and perfect for preparing your child for all those fall celebrations at home and school. Little Mole is excited to welcome three VIP guests to his fancy fall feast. He has gone to a lot of work and given special attention to details to make the guests feel special.
When each of the VIPs stops by with their regrets for not being able to come to the dinner, Little Mole is disappointed. But, then he has an idea that is even better and three new VIPs to sit in the special seats at the table.
The illustrations show a beautiful fall day in the forest. Readers will note Little Mole’s disappointment when his guests decline their invitation and the joy when he has a new idea for his feast. The whole look gives off a vintage feel and reminds readers about the joy of sitting around a table laughing and eating.
Little Mole shares the importance of celebrating friendship, giving thanks at the table, and finding reasons to celebrate together. The end of the book offers ways to plan your own Fancy Forest Feast and I can imagine kids planning out their special meal and who they would invite. This is a great story for teaching kids about hospitality and giving to others.
