Board Book
Celebrate a life of memories intermixed with an introduction to fine art in this new board book. From the day your child is born, every day can be an adventure. Celebrate each of those moments including the big moments and the quiet moments through reproductions of famous artwork.
With a bit of an adventure story intermixed with artwork, your child is exposed to beautiful, creative art while being encouraged to live in the moment and seek adventure.
One of my favorite pieces of art in the book was Boy with Umbrella painted by Susana Andrea Pereira. I’m sure many of these artists are well known, but I didn’t recognize any of the artists or their work except for the Fearless Girl sculpted by Kristen Visbalt which stands in the Wall Street area of New York City. I love how the author matched art with the type of adventure mentioned in the book. Even including art that celebrates staying home or taking a nap. Those can be adventures too.
The end of the board book includes more details about each piece of art and where it might be located. The author has other board books that feature art including MY ART BOOK OF LOVE, MY ART BOOK OF SLEEP, and more. This book and the others in the series are great ways to introduce your child to the world of art.
