As a kid, I loved reading joke books. I remember having a Knock Knock Joke book that I read over and over again. One of the billboards on the interstate near our home scrolls a new joke every day and I love reading it and having a chuckle as I drive by.

Every kid I know loves jokes. They love to read jokes, make up a jokes, and retell jokes to their friends and family. Rouzer combines Would You Rather scenarios, Knock Knock jokes, and Riddles along with silly illustrations to make kids laugh out loud. But, instead of just encouraging kids to read this book, he makes it into more of a game, asking kids to find a friend or family member to join in the fun of reading and asking each other the questions.

Each section has a topic like Goofy Animals and Bugs with a bonus at the end asking for kids to write their own jokes. If you had fun and read all the jokes, you can add your name to the Reading Award at the end of each section.

“What famous play did the pig perform at school?

Hamlet”

The Would You Rather questions offer the opportunity for a fun discussion with your child or with their friends. “Would you rather find a spoiled egg in your refrigerator or have a spoiled friend stay at your house for a week?” I know what I’d choose! The spoiled egg because I can throw it out as soon as I find it. A spoiled friend I’m stuck with for a week! LOL!

“What do vegetables do when they need help?

They cauliflower”

The last section allows kids to write their own Would You Rathers and Jokes with some prompts to get them started. I love that this book encourages kids to read with their friends as well as write jokes together. You can’t go wrong with a silly joke book for kids and this one is a hit!

Walter Rouzer studied environmental resources and social work in college. Before becoming a writer he wanted to be a naturalist and a social worker. While in college he took classes in plant, soil, animal husbandry, and other bio-earth sciences as well as studies in the field of sociology. He had fond memories tutoring inner-city kids as part of his off-campus training. It was a fulfilling experience having the opportunity to make a positive difference in kid’s lives.

There’s nothing quite like discovering a book that presents new and exciting story ideas. Walter works hard to ensure that his readers get original and exciting stories with each new book. So you’ll have peace of mind knowing that you’re just not getting a rehash of an old story genre or one that doesn’t have some exciting new twists.

Walter believes that books should enhance our enjoyment of life, both in the real and imaginative sense of the written word. It’s his hope and desire that his present books and those to follow will impart a new dimension of adventure, thrill, and humor to all who venture through its pages. Check out his website, HERE.
